South Australia is bordered by western Australia to the west , North territories to the north , Queensland to the north east , & both new south Wales & Victoria to the south east . Adelaide is it's capital & The Traditional Owners of the Adelaide region are the Kaurna people. It was Named in honour of Queen Adelaide, the city was founded in 1836 as the planned capital for the only freely-settled British province in Australia opposed to the penal colonies, Adelaide is known by its many festivals & sporting events, its food & wine .
